Wipro, a global business processing and IT consulting firm, announced that its internet of things deployment initiative with JCB India had achieved a successful milestone of 10,000 connected vehicles. The company announced in an official statement that the Livelink telematics system of JCB powered by Wipro IoT solutions managed to connect vehicles such as Backhoe Loaders, Compact and Excavators Wheel Loaders across India.
Wipro used its cloud-based Industrial asset platform to design the Livelink IoT solution for JCB. As part of this project, company’s After Markets solution team brought together different specialist partners to ensure that the IoT solution provided to JCB India can live up to everyone’s expectations.
With the help of this Livelink system, JCB India can keep an eye on the performance and real-time health of its vehicles across the country. The predictive capability of this platform helps the company to collaborate with all the stakeholders and ensure the operational availability of the vehicles as well as derive maximum value out of it. The geofencing feature of these IoT-powered vehicles eliminates any risk of theft or misuse of the assets
Although IoT is an emerging technology in India, Wipro doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned to use its expertise and explore this field for clients’ benefits. The senior management of the company is delighted to achieve this 10,000 vehicle milestone and looks forward to multiplying it in the coming months.
