Videocon Launches Aryabot, World’s First Satellite Based AC


You may have heard smart meters, smart phones and smart wearables, but this should probably be the first instance when you will hear satellite-based air conditioner. Videocon has launched the first ever satellite-based air conditioner of the world – named Aryabot.


Videocon is aggressively looking forward to capturing 15% of AC market in India along with a significant share of M2M and IoT market. It hopes that the launch of Aryabot will help it achieve this target by the end of FY16.

Aryabot is an IoT friendly device that aligns itself based on users’ use cases and preferences. It doesn’t only get connected to smart watches like Android Wear and Apple Watch, but also keeps an eye on the power consumption and surveillances office as well as home premises.  Moreover, it comes with features like auto call-logging to the nearest available service center and auto-troubleshooting as and when required, offering unparalleled quality user experience.

Users can connect Aryabot with their smartphones or smart watches and control virtually. Whenever the connected smartphone comes in a pre-specified range, the AC starts automatically and shuts down as soon as the user goes out of that range.
