In a recent statement, O2 announced that it’s working with tado° and AT&T Digital Life to launch cutting-edge smart home solution in the UK this summer. If everything falls in line, it will be the first time when the home management and automation solutions powered by AT&T Digital Life will hit UK market commercially.
David Plumb, Digital Director at O2, will throw more light on this initiative at the AT&T Developer Conference during CES 2016. O2 tends to enable all the customers in the UK to enjoy the benefits of smart home technology by bringing together the world-class technology of AT&T Digital Life and tado°.
The senior management of O2 believes that the technical resources and expertise of tado° and AT&T, and guidance of its installation experts will successfully come up with a solution that can help the customers save money and time without compromising their mental peace. There are over 25 million O2 customers in the UK that are expected to get benefitted from this collaboration.
Initially, AT&T Digital Life and O2’s parent company Telefonica announced a limited trial of these smart home management solutions in Europe in early 2015. After witnessing desired outcomes, both of them decided to take this initiative forward by launching smart home solutions in the UK in 2016.
