Saudi Telecom Company Deploys Affirmed Network’s vEPC Solution with M2M Capabilities

The mobile networks virtualization leader, Affirmed Network, announced that STC (Saudi Telecom Company) had successfully deployed its vEPC (virtual Evolved Packet Core) solution in its live network. The solution comes with virtual geo-redundancy and capable of delivering M2M services in the region.

The vEPC network is currently operating in STC’s network to deploy M2M services across the Kingdom. All the customers of STC can receive real-time information about all the services that are offered to them with the help of vEPC network. It will further enhance the efficiency and reduce the overall cost.

STC is the largest service provider in Africa and the Middle East, and has its presence in nine countries spread across the region. This initiative is part of STC’s approach as an innovator in the field of Next Generation Networking solutions. It seeks to reduce the overall cost and enhance the customer experience in the best possible way.

Throughout the deployment process, starting from lab trial to carrying customers’ traffic, STC tried to make sure that everything was up to customers’ expectations.
