US-based Ecorithm and GenNext Ventures have signed an agreement to come up with a technology that can help them collect data and exchange it to ensure a successful deployment of IoT in the country. GenNext is the venture capital division of Reliance Industries — Owner of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.
As part of this deal, Ecorithm will route its world-famous True Analytics platform to GenNext to enable it producing an uninterrupted flow of sensor data, such as industrial control system or building management system in a commercial building. With the help of True Analytics platform, GenNext will be able to deploy critical data without overusing energy.

This move can further help Reliance Industries in participating in government’s ‘Smart-City’ initiative, which will solely focus on the implementation of Internet of Things technology. Reliance Jio Infocomm ltd. is looking forward to launching commercial 4G services in December across India. The connectivity of Reliance Jio 4G will work as the baseline for its Internet of Things initiative.
There is some trackion in Indian IoT telecom markets with RCom and RJio taking the lead. Market leader Airtel ignoring this space and not getting into IoT offerings, is this the right approach? Is Airtel going to miss a growth bus here, only time will tell.
