Qualcomm’s New IP Camera Reference Platform Enhances The Capabilities of Security Cameras Through High-End Imaging, Processing And Analytics

Qualcomm, has come up with a new IP camera reference design and development platform-Snapdragon 618. This platform brings together company’s world-class imaging, processing and analytics technologies to enhance the support for professional security and intelligent cameras.

The Snapdragon 618 platform is equipped with an IP camera SDK and reference design that support 4K HEVC video, heterogeneous computing and comprehensive connectivity for video analytics. It supports 64-bit Snapdragon 618 processor and features Integrated X8 LTE, dual 1.8GHz ARM CortexTM-A72 + quad 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 cores, LTE Cat 7, different connectivity options (802.11/a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Ethernet, GPS and Bluetooth Smart 4.1), Dual image signal processors and Power management IC.
