PTC and NTT DOCOMO, Inc. have decided to expand their relationship through extending the uses of ThingWorx IoT Development Platform. As part of this expansion plan, DOCOMO will focus on using IoT platform more than ever to improve the overall services offered to over 65 million customers.
Both the companies will also continue their efforts with regard to marketing IoT solutions in the Japanese market. As part of this new deal, ThingWorx will lend its IoT platform to DOCOMO’s cloud-based software, so that it can use company’s robust technology and excellent connectivity to execute various IoT initiatives. With the help of Tokyo-based Nippon Systemware, both the companies will try to launch various IoT solutions that customers can use and get benefitted from.
According to Russ Fadel, President, ThingWorx, PTC Business, “Strengthening of our business relations with DOCOMO is a great opportunity for all those businesses who want to have one-stop solutions for their network, device and IoT-based needs.”
It’s not the first time when the ever growing IoT market has cashed in on the attention from telecom and network companies. Both DOCOMO and PTC hope to provide customized solutions to businesses to fulfill their IoT-based needs in the long run.
