MediaTek announced two new offerings – MT7697 and MT2523 to enhance its smart home and smart watch portfolios.
The first announcement related to MT7697 was to expand the use of IoT chips providing integration among different devices without consuming excessive power in varied applications, such as home automation, home appliances, smart gadgets, cloud connectivity, smart homeand IoT bridges.
With the help of MT7697, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections for wearables and smart devices can be strengthened. MT7697 along with other smartphone chips of MediaTek can create an “ecosphere” of connected wearables, smartphones and other smart appliances, supporting rapidly increasing connected lifestyles of consumers. A dual version of this SoC, MT7697D, comes with 2.4GHz and 5GHz support.
At the same time, MT2523 is the first SiP (system-in-package) in the world that offers dual-mode Bluetooth Low Energy, GPS and a high-resolution mobile screen supporting MIPI. It brings together the high-quality display, long battery life and small chip size to offer best-in-class user experience. Reports claim that its printed circuit board area is around 41% smaller than the other similar solutions available in the market.
If charged once, the devices equipped with MT2523 can last for more than a week as compared to others whose charge drains out in 2-3 days. You can click here and know more about MT2523. Jake DeBrusk Authentic Jersey
