Since most of the large corporate houses from all around the globe are going after IoT, Reliance Group doesn’t want to be left behind. In an attempt to take things to all new heights, it has named Juergen Hase as the new Chief Executive Officer of its internet of things business.
Hase is a well-known name in the industry. He has spent last 25 years in developing businesses in different parts of the world and turning them into cash cows. Before joining Reliance Group, he was working with Qatar-based Ooredoo at the Group level as the director of IoT/M2M business. He was responsible for managing and growing company’s internet of things business in North Africa, Middle East, and South Asia in different segments like telematics, automotive, healthcare, smart cities, energy and insurance.
Hase will operate from company’s Mumbai headquarter and report directly to Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director – Reliance Group.
Reliance Group is fully active in domains like healthcare, telecoms, financial services, power & utilities, road and metro rail transportation, etc. with a customer-base of over 250 million. It plans to leverage its domain expertise and customer base in growing presence in the IoT space.
Before the commercial launch of its IoT services, the group has partnered with Jasper and roped in a leader like Hase to ensure that everything falls in line. It’s likely to announce further updates about the IoT business shortly. More information about it can be found here.
