Vodafone Business Services, better known as the VBS – Enterprise arm of Vodafone India, announces strategic partnership with JCB India Ltd. JCB is well-known for its manufacturing business of construction equipment.
As part of this partnership, Vodafone will offer M2M services to JCB’s Livelink – a telematics system that enables the remote monitoring of its construction equipment and provide quality information on operation, service and security of the equipment.
Nick Gliddon, Director -Vodafone Business Services, announced the partnership and said that Vodafone’s expertise in IoT and M2M communication isn’t hidden from anyone across the globe. The VBS M2M powered Livelink will enable all the users of JCB construction equipment to manage the health, maintenance and efficiency of the equipment in the best possible way. Users will also be able to efficiently manage fuel usage, idle time and many other tinny problems that can cause downtime at a later stage.
The Indian market has touched that level where M2M can play a major role in deciding the success or failure of any organization. Vodafone is confident of maintaining over 10 billion SIMs simultaneously and looks forward to expanding further its capacity in Indian as well as global marketplace in the future.
