HCL Technology on Wednesday announced that it has decided to join hands with IBM to develop solutions focusing on the Internet of Things. Both the tech giants will target specific verticals, such as manufacturing, industrial and smart facilities to develop solutions around connected operations and people. HCL aim at developing solutions for smart inventory management, waste management and smart building & facility management.
As part of the deal, both the companies have agreed to set up an incubation centre for the development of smart IoT solutions for selected industries. A recent statement of HCL unveiled that it along with IBM will make the seamless integration of devices, data platform, connectivity and analytics for various industry players to get rid of IoT challenges.
It’s not the first time when any IT company has decided to explore this field. All the major IT, Telecom and Manufacturing companies around the world are trying to explore IoT field in the best way possible.
