Internet of Things concept has been thriving ever since it came into existence, and Google being the leading tech company in the world doesn’t want to sell it short. It has come up with a new OnHub Home Wi-Fi router for those who love using technology more than anything in their day to day life.
Looking forward, OnHub Wi-Fi router is powered with 5 GHz wireless 802.11a/n/ac 3×3 and 2.4 GHz wireless 802.11b/g/n 3×3 along with a smart antenna for the backward compatibility. OnHub is capable of working three times faster with 802.11ac than other devices that come with 802.11n. There is hardly any router in the market that operates on 5 GHZ capacity as of now, which clearly gives Google’s OnHub, an upper hand over others.
Some of the other features of OnHub Wi-Fi router comprise of Smart Ready, 802.15.4 (Zigbee), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Google Nest’s Weave. Any device featuring iOS 7 or higher and Android 4.0 or higher can be used to communicate via this high-end Wi-Fi router. At present, the outer shell of OnHub is available in black and blue colors, but reports claim that more colors will be made available by Google in the near future.
The only concern about OnHub that might bother buyers is its price. At $200 it may look slightly more expensive than many other routers available in the market. But those who are in love with their connected TVs, smartphones, computers and other IoT devices, no price is too much to afford.
