Ford has released a new software update for over five million SYNC-enabled connected cars. As per the reports, with the help of Siri Eyes-Free capability, the new update brings more convenience and ease of use to iPhone users.
SYNC – the entertainment and communications system of Ford has been designed in such a way that it can be updated from time to time, allowing users to get the best of what Ford has in store for them. Siri Eyes-Free is a voice-activated feature that makes the ride convenient for users by enabling them to keep their hands on wheels and eyes on the road. This is another step in the direction of connected cars.
After inclusion of Apple Siri Eyes-Free in SYNC-enabled connected cars, users will be able to activate SIRI by pressing voice-recognition button and use the way it’s used in iPhones. It simply means that making a call to someone from the contacts list, playing music, asking for direction, setting the alarm, send text messages, etc. will now be just a voice command away.
All the Ford vehicles manufactured after 2011 in North America that have the MyFord Touch version of SYNC are likely to be eligible for this update. You can click here and know more about this update.
