The CTIA Super Mobility Week 2015 is likely to feature many companies with innovative IoT and M2M solutions; among them is Ethertronics, which will launch EtherModule 2.0 for all the IoT and M2M vendors. EtherModule 2.0 is an active plug-and-play antenna system, which can help IoT and M2M companies various operational tasks.
EtherModule 2.0, the newest member of EtherModule family, is capable of addressing the challenges faced by most of the IoT and M2M product designers. It can facilitate them by allowing the characteristics of RF performance and antenna, which further lead to good connectivity in less-than-perfect RF environments.
EtherModule 2.0 uses EC446, which is equipped with a tunable capacitor, a microcontroller and low-loss Sp4T switch. All of these features enables it to correct the impedance mismatch and retune the antenna to catch the moving frequencies due to environment change. As per the reports, EtherModule 2.0 can cover a wide range of frequencies from 700 MHz to 3 GHz. Due to a host of world-class features, it can be used in various applications, such as M2M, Wi-Fi, ISM, smart grids/ smart meter system and other devices featuring wireless option.
As the demand for M2M and IoT devices continue to grow, the management team of Ethertronics is optimistic about EtherModule 2.0’s long-term success in the market.
