SK Holdings, the owner of Korea’s one of the largest telecom companies SK Telecom, has announced a global IoT (Internet of Things) partnership with Ericsson. In this collaboration, Swedish networking company Ericsson and SK Holdings will work together for the development of a global ICT ecosystem to empower latter’s IoT platform.
While talking to reporters, SK Holdings’ CEO Park Jung-ho stated that this partnership will help SK Holdings in elevating its ICT competitiveness and also give a chance to strengthen its global presence in IoT field.
Ericsson’s CEO Hans Vestberg was pleased to announced this collaboration and said that IoT platform had brought a lot of opportunities for many organizations in different industries. It’s great to have associated with SK Holdings to form a strong ICT ecosystem and take Networked Society to newer heights.
Both the companies signed an extensive memorandum on August 12 and committed to work on an IoT platform that could benefit industries like transportation and healthcare. Along with IoT, both the companies will also focus on various security solutions and ICT services related to data and network.
Experts call it an amazing decision taken by these two companies and hope that the world will experience more such collaborations in the future.
