In an attempt to enable customers to connect machine endpoints securely as part of deploying IoT applications, Barracuda has added Barracuda NextGen Firewall S-Series to its next-generation firewall product family. Additionally, it has also announced the immediate availability of two S-Series products right away: the Barracuda NextGen Secure Access Concentrator (SAC) and the Barracuda NextGen Firewall Secure Connector 1 (SC1).
As per the information made available by the company, the Barracuda NextGen SAC is but a virtual gateway that can easily run in private clouds or Microsoft Azure environments to apply security functionality and optimize network traffic flow. At the same time, the Barracuda NextGen SC1 is an appliance that’s equipped with Wi-Fi, firewalling and full VPN connectivity.
With the help of Barracuda NextGen Firewall S-Series, customers can enforce appropriate access privileges, roll out thousands of devices in remote locations and centrally manage all communications without any hassle.
