In a recent announcement, Cadence Design Systems, Inc. made public an IP Reference System focusing on IoT applications, developed with the help of ARM. It’s built around the ARM Cortex M3 processor and ARM IoT Subsystem and comprises of many frequently used functions that are needed in an IoT platform to host actuators, sensors and wireless connectivity. With the help of ARM MPS2 rapid software and FPGA prototyping platform, Cadence and ARM can easily demonstrate the benefits of providing fully verified and integrated IP.

The Cadence interface controller IP comes with Quad-SPI (QSPI), MIPI SoundWire, I  C and SPI. ARM has offered its ARM Cortex -M processor IP and IoT Subsystem IP. Users can also opt for ARM Cordio Radio IP, which is available as a plugin module for this board. The IP blocks are so easy to use that they will help the customers to speed up their entry into Internet of Things field.
