  1. I love that there are so many devices out there to keep us safe! I think I notice a trend between these wearables, though. I realize that all of them include GPS trackers and send notifications to your personal contacts. But how does this directly defend the user? What if the user needed something to help him or her at the exact moment of danger and could not wait for their loved ones to get their distress call?

That’s why I think something more geared towards self-defense and more action-oriented is vital for a wearable safety device. I have pepper spray, but I don’t think I’d ever have the courage to use it! And what if the pepper spray doesn’t even stop the attacker? Personal alarms have proven to be more successful in stopping danger, which is why I think these are more reliable than GPS trackers. One alarm I like is ROBOCOPP’s Sound Grenade which is safe and easy to use for anyone of any age. Although these are great wearables, it doesn’t hurt to look into others as well!
